Make this apple-shaped pencil holder

Make this apple-shaped pencil holder

The jars of the kitchen can have a second life (and what a life!) With this practical idea to turn them into beautiful pencil holders.
Did you ever give an apple to your teacher on the first day of class? Do not? Well, anyway, you can give to anyone who wants this practical and beautiful pencil holder in the shape of an apple made with a reused jar.

Perfect for containing pencils, pens and rulers. Also, they are very easy to do. A week before school started, the children and I did several of these in one afternoon.

Of course you can be creative and use them to store almost anything. From erasers, candies, and whatever you want. Simply paint the green lid and you will have a fun and creative gift jar.

materials
One or several jars clean.
Red enamel spray.
Green cardboard.
String, scissors and colored pencils
To make the pencil holders
Cover an area with newspaper in a well-ventilated area. Spray a layer of enamel on the outside of the jars and let them dry. It also proceeds with a second layer.
Cut the green card in the form of oval leaves about 5 centimeters long.
Make a hole in the upper part of these leaves and tie two of them to each jar with the string. Secure the string with a knot.
Customize the jars by adding messages to the sheets. If it is a gift, you can use it as a card.
Fill them with pens, pencils or crayons of your choice. Ready!
Can you imagine filling this pencil holder with many of these pencils with paper flowers?
