Make yourself this beautiful coasters with colored pencils

This beautiful coasters, which you can make yourself, allows you to give a second life to those little colored pencils that your children no longer use.
How quickly the holidays passed! My daughters have just returned to school and begin to adapt again to the routine. The last two weeks we were reviewing their school supplies and I noticed that they have many colored pencils from previous years.

So I dedicated myself to finding a craft to take advantage of some of them and had not spent 5 minutes on the internet until I found exactly what I was looking for. A beautiful and colorful coasters to take advantage of your old pencils.

You will need to
Many colored pencils.
Cork discs 10 cm in diameter.
Thermofusible glue and applicator gun.
Miter saw or manual hacksaw.
Sandpaper.
Wood sealant or white glue.
Instructions
Using the saw or the manual blade cut the colored pencils into sections of approximately 1 cm. This is the part that takes more time, but once it is ready you know that ALMOST have finished.
With the hot melt glue gun, stick the pencils in the cork disk. You can start at the center or at the edge, as you feel more comfortable.
Give the top part a sanding to smooth and remove any rough edges.
To make it water resistant, give one or two coats of wood sealer. You can also use the white glue mixed with water in a 1: 1 ratio.
This can be a beautiful and original gift for any occasion. By the way, if you have old wax crayons, look at this great idea to give them a new life.
